SVG Police Co-operative Credit Union offers secure savings options and flexible deposits to suit every financial need. From young savers to seasoned investors, we offer accounts that help you reach your financial goals.

Shares

Permanent Shares

Every member must hold a Permanent Shares Account to gain voting rights at the Annual General Meetings. Membership requires a minimum of 40 permanent shares, priced at $5.00 each.

Ordinary Shares

Unlike Permanent Shares, Ordinary Shares have no limit and can be purchased anytime the office is open. New members must purchase a minimum of $25.00 in ordinary shares upon joining.

Equity Shares

Equity Shares are small required investments you make when joining the credit union. Each member is required to maintain $700 in equity shares to retain membership.

Savings Accounts

  • Ordinary Deposit Account: To open an Ordinary Deposit Account, members must hold both Permanent and Ordinary Shares accounts.
  • Quick Cash Account: Allows members to have their salary directly assigned to us for convenient access to funds.

Fixed Deposit Accounts

Fixed Deposit Account: A secure account offering fixed returns over a set term.

Special Savings Plans

  • Junior Savers: Savings accounts designed specifically for young members (0-16 years) to encourage early financial habits.
  • Completed Registration Form
  • Birth Certificate and/or Valid Passport
  • Two (2) pieces of ID from Parent/Guardian
  • Initial Payment: $20.00
  • Minimum Savings: $15.00
  • Entrance Fee: $5.00
  • Christmas Club: A dedicated savings plan to help members prepare for holiday expenses.
  • Survivor’s Benefit Plan: provides financial security to members’ beneficiaries, offering support during difficult times.
  • Annual Contribution: $25.00
  • Death Benefit Grant: $5,000.00

New Membership Requirements

  • A completed registration form

  • A completed Survivors' Benefit form (Ages 16-55)

  • Two (2) forms of identification 

  • Utility Bill bearing your name

  • Job Letter/ Salary Slip

  • Initial Payment: $255.00 (divided as follows):
    • Permanent Shares: $200.00
    • Death Benefit: $25.00
    • Ordinary Shares: $25.00 (minimum)
    • Entrance Fee: $5.00
